Protecting Your Pin

Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is crucial in maintaining security on your debit card. There are a couple of tips below you can use to minimize the risks of debit card fraud.

  • Use your hand or body to shield your PIN every time you use your debit card.
  • Keep your debit card in sight when conducting transactions at the checkout.
  • Always remember to take your card and transaction receipt with you when the transaction is done.
  • Review your banking statements regularly and contact us immediately if you detect any unusual activity.
  • Notify us immediately if your debit card is lost, stolen or retained by an ATM.
  • Select a unique PIN and memorize it. Never use obvious information like your telephone number or date of birth; only you should know it. If you suspect that someone knows your PIN, change it immediately.
    • Chip debit cards can be re-pinned at any Entegra ATM, or visit one of our convenient branches.
